About the Role

We’re seeking a highly capable Full-Stack Developer to lead development of our ALPR data platform and AiFleet—an administrator dashboard for managing agencies, users, and connected devices. You’ll work across the stack to build scalable, secure, and highly configurable systems that support real-time data workflows, edge-to-cloud communication, and multi-organization management. You’ll also be expected to leverage Software Intelligence (SI) tools (e.g., Cursor, CodeWhisperer) to accelerate development and maintain a high-quality codebase.

Key Responsibilities
• Architect and implement a platform capable of running in both cloud and on-premise environments
• Build a secure, multi-tenant backend for plate data ingestion, hot list matching, and search
• Develop AiFleet, our centralized dashboard for managing organizations, users, devices, and alert configurations
• Implement real-time dashboards and command queue systems for fleet control and visibility
• Design and enforce role-based and device-based access control across multiple organizations
• Build modular APIs to support integration, data export, and custom agency workflows
• Optimize data storage and syncing for both online and offline deployments
• Support mapping and visualization of alerts, reads, and system usage
• Use SI tools to boost productivity, reduce boilerplate, and streamline testing
• Ensure compliance with CJIS standards and public sector data handling practices
• Collaborate with AI, edge, and operations teams to deliver full-stack features

What We Offer
• Ownership over a high-impact system serving law enforcement and municipalities
• Small, agile team with big goals and fast iteration cycles
• Flexibility to grow into a leadership role
• Remote work, async-friendly communication, and no bureaucracy
• A real opportunity to shape the future of public safety tech

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in backend and/or full-stack development

  • Expertise in scalable systems using Node.js, Python, Go, or equivalent

  • Experience developing both cloud-native and on-premise deployable applications

  • Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)

  • Experience integrating software intelligence tools (e.g., Copilot, Tabnine) in active workflows

  • Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Strong understanding of RBAC/DBAC, secure API design, and multi-tenant systems

  • Solid experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.), real-time data handling, and alert systems

  • Knowledge of law enforcement tech, plate reader systems, or public sector compliance (CJIS, GDPR)

  • Comfortable designing systems for high availability, modularity, and future scalability

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience building ALPR or real-time video/data platforms

  • Background in fleet management systems or enforcement platforms

  • Knowledge of encryption and secure deployment protocols

  • Experience supporting both hosted and offline-first architectures
