About the Role
What You’ll Do
Translate high-level product ideas from the founding team into executable sprint plans and technical specs
Lead sprint planning, resource management, and coordination across multiple parallel projects
Manage remote developers across frontend, backend, mobile, and embedded systems
Oversee architecture decisions to balance speed, scalability, and system stability
Proactively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Notion AI, etc.) to improve development velocity and clarity
Identify blockers early, adjust priorities, and recommend resource shifts as needed
Deliver weekly status updates with milestone tracking, risks, and proposed adjustments
Serve as the central bridge between product vision and technical execution

Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report directly to Aeye Systems’ co-founders and operate at the heart of our product development efforts. You’ll have a direct hand in building AI-powered tools that will modernize how cities and agencies operate in the real world.
Requirements
We’re not looking for a coordinator—we’re looking for a technically fluent execution leader who gets things built, fast.
5-7+ years of software development or technical program management, including delivery of multiple concurrent projects
Proven experience managing remote, cross-functional teams (frontend, backend, mobile, embedded)
Strong understanding of system architecture, version control, CI/CD workflows, and sprint-based delivery
Proficiency with AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Perplexity, Notion AI, etc.)—this isn’t optional
Experience with embedded platforms, edge devices, or smart camera systems
Ability to create scalable roadmaps, spot blockers early, and manage priorities independently
Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially across distributed teams
Highly organized, self-motivated, and fluent in startup-level uncertainty
Comfortable working directly with founders and turning abstract product direction into clean execution plans
Optional but Extremely Valuable
Experience with AI model integration (e.g., computer vision, object detection, OCR)
Familiarity with hardware-software coordination, especially in field-based systems
Previous work in law enforcement, public safety, smart city, or traffic enforcement tech
Comfortable coordinating contractors and vendors across borders and time zones

This is a contractor role with the potential to convert to full-time employment once performance, leadership, and delivery are clearly demonstrated.
